Nangong 1 Hydropower Station

Nangong 1 Hydropower Station is located on the NamKan River in southern Attapeu province of Laos, which is the junction area of Laos, Vietnam, and Cambodia. As a tributary of the left bank of the SeGong River, the NamGong River flows from east to west. The dam site is about 53km away from the provincial capital of Attapeu Province highway,958km away from Vientiane highway, 464km away from Da Nang, Vietnam and 1167km away from Bangkok, Thailand.Nangong 1 Hydropower Station aims at flood control, power generation, irrigation, and tourism to promote local social and economic development. The main dam has a check flood level of 320.80m, and the corresponding storage capacity is 6.51×108 m3; The normal water level is 320.00m and the corresponding storage capacity is 6.33×108 m3: The dead water level is 280.00mand the corresponding storage capacity is 0.97×108 m3. The adjustment storage capacity is 5.36×108 m3, with multi-year regulation capacity.. The project is a second-class (2) type project. The main buildings are grade 2 buildings, the secondary buildings are grade 3 buildings, and the temporary buildings are grade 4. The installed capacity of power station is 160MW, the number of installed units is 2, and the single unit capacity is 80MW.  The annual average power generation capacity of the power station is 633 million KW/h, and the installed utilization hours is 3,959h.  Nangong 1 Hydropower Station is an important power source for Laos to buildSoutheast Asia “Power Storage”, and it is the backbone power source forLaos government to sell electricity to Cambodia, which is of great significance for Laos energy construction and development.
