Laos TaVieng - Tabok 230kV power transmission and transformation project is located in the provinces of Xaysomboun and Borikhamxay in central Laos. The contract amount is about 113,002,300 US dollars. The project is located in the delivery project of NamNgieb 2 Hydropower Station. The main content includes the extension of two 230kV substation distances of TaVieng substation and Tabok substation, and 154.3km 230kV voltage grade transmission line project between two substations. The transmission line works of the project are all undertaken by IHC Company.
The transmission line of the project serves as a 230kV backbone network connecting the northern and central power grids of Laos. Recently, it is mainly responsible for the power transmission of four hydropower stations, Nam Ngiep2 (180MW), Nam Chiang HPP (100MW), Nam San 3 (114MW) and Nam Pot (20MW), to the load center of Vientiane and the direction of Thailand. From the long - term development, it can meet the needs of transmitting electricity from part of the northern power station in Laos (about 600MW) to Vientiane and Thailand. Thus, it has solved the problem of power supply from the northern power station in Laos to Vientiane, Thailand and other power load centers, and made important contributions to the sustainable development of the power industry in Laos, the national economic and social development, the development of all ethnic groups in Laos and the improvement of people's living standards.
