Laos 230 KV transmission Line project (Hinherb - Nasaythong)

Laos 230 KV power transmission and transformation is a project (Hinherb - Nasaytong) with a contract value of 72,222,000 US dollars, and the owner is Lao National Power Company. The main projects include 4 Transformation of substations (Bantong Substation, Hinherb Substation, Nasaytong Substation and Phontong Substation); The newly built double - circuit 230 KV transmission line is 72.0 km, double - circuit 115 KV transmission line is 12.0 km, and single - circuit 115 KV transmission line 18.5 km. The project started on April 1, 2009 and was completed on December 1, 2012. 

This project is the first 230 KV power transmission and transformation project owned by the Lao government, and it is the main artery of power transportation connecting the central and northern parts of Laos.  After completion, the central and Northern power grids of Laos will be connected smoothly. Through the upgraded 230kV power grid, the central and Northern power will be connected with the newly built 500kV substation on the border of Laos and Thailand, and the power will be exported to Thailand.
